OKKO Installs Its 100th Ultra Fast EV Charger and Expands Network with EBRD Suppo

At the beginning of July, OKKO commissioned its 100th Ultra Fast electric vehicle charger at the company's filling station in Kovel, Volyn region. EV charging is now available at 63 OKKO locations across Ukraine.

OKKO has already invested more than USD 6 million in expanding its high-speed EV charging network and increasing the energy capacity of its filling stations. The company continues to accelerate the rollout of charging infrastructure.

In May, OKKO secured a EUR 10 million loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to finance the construction of new electric vehicle charging infrastructure across Ukraine. The financing has already been approved by the EBRD's Board of Directors.

In addition to the loan, the company will receive grant funding under the Connecting Europe Facility – Transport (CEF Transport) through the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Facility (AFIF), an initiative of the European Commission implemented in partnership with the EBRD.

"For us, electric mobility is not a new trend but a strategic direction that we have been developing consistently for more than a decade. Back in 2014, OKKO became the first filling station network in Ukraine to build a nationwide EV charging infrastructure. At that time, we simultaneously installed charging stations at 34 locations, primarily along major highways. Although those chargers were less powerful than today's technology, they fundamentally changed how people perceived electric vehicles. Drivers realised they could comfortably travel not only within their cities but also over much longer distances. Since then, the Ukrainian EV market has grown many times over, with more than 250,000 electric vehicles now on the country's roads. We see this momentum and will continue investing in the infrastructure that supports it," said Vasyl Dmytriv, OKKO Vice President for Marketing and Development.

During the first half of 2026, more than 37,000 unique customers used EV charging stations at OKKO filling stations—twice as many as during the same period last year—reflecting the rapid growth of electric mobility in Ukraine.
