OKKO supported the initiative of the Kyiv School of Economics "Donate to Evacuate" and contributed $95,000. This initiative aims to raise funds for two MEDEVAC medical evacuation helicopters. And currently, one of the them is already saving the lives of military personnel.
This is the fastest transport for evacuating the wounded people - it arrives approximately in 15 minutes, which significantly increases the chances of combatant men and women to return home alive. In fact, emergency medical aid is effective within the first hour after being wounded.
The helicopter from "Donate to Evacuate" is unusual. Famous Ukrainian calligraphers - sisters Lopukhiny and their team - painted a camouflage pattern on the board with the names of everyone who donated $100 or more. Among the donors are individuals, as well as leading companies from various fields of business - financial, transport, agricultural, pharmaceutical, etc.
OKKO's participation in the project is a logical persistence of the provided support to the Armed Forces since the beginning of the war. OKKO has already participated in initiatives that covered needs in intelligence complexes and weapons (a joint initiative of the company together with the "Return Alive" fund), cars, ambulances, fuel. OKKO also provides free food for soldiers at the front-line fuel stations. The company also rebuilt educational institutions in the Kyiv region, provided fuel to overcome the consequences of the explosion of the Kakhovska HPP, etc.
As of December 2023, the total amount of OKKO’s assistance for reconstruction of the country and assistance to the Armed Forces has amounted to UAH 1.255 billion.
