OKKO started a complete modernization project on the refinery facilities at the oil terminal in Lviv. The new wastewater treatment system on Plastova Street, 1, will start to work this autumn and will substantially reduce the load on the city's wastewater treatment facilities.

"The company is developing, keeping pace with time and, accordingly, equipping its infrastructure with innovative equipment. The installation of a modern treatment facilities complex is one of the base modernization projects this year, the cost of which is UAH 7 million. Totally, only the last two years, investments in the oil terminal amounted to UAH 20 million", - says Vasyl Kindiy, Head of OKKO oil terminals network.

The new hardware installation started in August this year. In general, the project involves the installation of three oil removers, two sandblasters and a bioplate. This is a special artificial pool of natural materials, from which practically pure water will evaporate naturally. In this way, the waste water will go through its five stages of filtration.

The modernized OKKO refineries on Plastova street will start working  in mid-October.
