As of the end of 2025, 265 filling stations of OKKO network are already equipped with solar power stations installed on the roofs. In particular, 64 solar power stations were installed during 2025. Thanks to these solar modules, last year OKKO network covered about 8.4% of its stations' electricity needs.
Currently, the total capacity of the installed solar power plants has already reached 6 MW. The volume of investments in rooftop stations has already exceeded USD 3 million since 2021, when the company actively began the development of solar project. Most of the invested funds have already been recouped in the form of savings on electricity costs.
In 2026, OKKO network plans to install solar power stations at more than 40 fuel stations, investing another USD 0.5 million in their installation and launch. As a result, the share of solar energy in the stations' energy consumption is expected to increase up to 9.5%.
"Our goal is to install SPPs at all OKKO filling stations where it is technically possible. According to our estimates, this is more than 350 filling stations in all regions of Ukraine. During periods of active generation, such a solar station can provide from 15% to 55% of a filling station's daily electricity needs. At the same time, we view this project not only in terms of economic feasibility and energy sustainability, but also as our contribution to counteracting the “greenhouse footprint” by reducing the use of finite and more ‘dirty’ energy sources, such as natural gas or coal,"COMMENTED VITALIY GUT, HEAD OF THE ENERGY EFFICIENCY SOLUTIONS SECTOR AT OKKO.
