October 22 at 19:00 in Kyiv, at the building of the National Library named after V.I. Vernadsky, will be shown a laser projection dedicated to road safety and the importance of using reflective elements in the dark. The laser show is a continuation of OKKO's annual initiative "Please, live! Road safety ", which this year is held under the slogan "Please, shine!".

“This year we decided to raise the issue of non-use of reflectors because the level of accidents in the dark is a serious problem for Ukrainian roads. According to the National Police of Ukraine in 2019, 1,261 people died as a result of a collision with a pedestrian. So we want to draw the attention of absolutely all road users to the problem and call through emotion to save lives”, - says Yaroslava Poliakova, Head of OKKO's corporate communications department.

The social event will be joined by experts and activists, including the founder of the AutoGeek electric car blog Yevhen Mudzhyri, as well as the co-founder of the Echelon cycling team, the winner of mountain and road cycling competitions Dmytro Petrov. They will discuss the level of accidents in Ukraine, the experience of using reflectors, etc. The event will be hosted by Oleksandr Popov, presenter of the 1+1 TV channel.

The laser projection "Please, shine!", the purpose of which is to remind road users about the importance of saving lives and the need to use reflectors, Kyiv residents and guests will be able to see live on the library building for 3 days - October 22, 23 and 24 from 19:00 to 21:00.

The launch of the projection will also be broadcast online on Facebook and YouTube on October 22.

It will be recalled that the company planned to launch the project on Sunday, October 18. But due to bad weather conditions, including strong winds that prevented using the necessary equipment for broadcasting, the company postponed the laser show to Thursday, October 22.
