Yesterday, a tragedy occurred in which Oleksii Oleksandrovych Brekht, a member of the Management Board of NPC Ukrenergo, lost his life. Under his leadership, critical transmission grid facilities were restored following repeated enemy strikes, complex technical solutions were implemented, and the work of energy professionals was coordinated under extraordinarily challenging conditions.
Oleksii Brekht’s death is a profound loss for the energy sector and for the country as a whole. He was a highly skilled engineer and executive, a respected professional of impeccable reputation, whose work played a vital role in maintaining the resilience of Ukraine’s power system during the full-scale war.
His contribution to the operation and restoration of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure is of exceptional importance.
