On June 5, 2025, the final of the international competition EY Entrepreneur of the Year, one of the key international competitions with a 25-year history, which brings together business leaders from around the world, took place in Monaco. Ukraine was represented by Vasyl Danyliak, CEO of OKKO, as the winner of the national stage of the competition (this year, entrepreneurs from 43 countries took part in it).
The main goal of the competition is to identify and support entrepreneurs who shape the future with confidence and responsibility. The winners of the national selections come together every year to share their experiences.
The jury selects the Entrepreneur of the World among the participants from around the world, and this year's winner is Stina Ehrensvard from Sweden, founder of Yubico, a company that develops cybersecurity solutions.
The participation of OKKO CEO in the global final is not only a recognition of his personal contribution, but also an example of how Ukrainian business integrates into the global business community. The finalists and guests of the competition showed sincere support for the representative of Ukrainian business and appreciated the large-scale investment projects implemented by OKKO Group. Under the leadership of Vasyl Danyliak, OKKO Group has attracted significant investments for renewable energy projects, including wind farms, solar farms, energy storage and biofuel production.
In 2025, OKKO Group plans to invest $350 million in several key areas: about $202 million in the construction of wind farms, $50 million in the construction of a bioethanol plant, $60 million in the fuel business, and $30 million in the construction of an internationally recognized all-season mountain resort Goro Mountain Resort.
